For those flying into Geneva International Airport (GVA) and heading to Valmorel, the easiest and most convenient way to reach the ski resort is by renting a car. Upon arrival at Geneva International Airport, you can find several car rental agencies located directly at the airport. The car rental desks are situated in both the Swiss and French sectors of the airport. To access the car rentals, follow the signs for "Car Rental" after collecting your luggage. If you rent a car from the French sector, you can avoid Swiss motorway tolls by following directions that bypass Swiss highways.

From Geneva International Airport, the drive to Valmorel is approximately 125 km and typically takes around 2 hours. Begin by taking the A41 motorway towards Annecy, then follow signs for Albertville on the A430. From Albertville, continue on the N90 towards Moutiers, and then take the D990 and D94 to Valmorel. This route is well-signposted and offers scenic views of the French Alps. Ensure your rental car is equipped with winter tires or snow chains, especially during the ski season, as mountain roads can be challenging. Renting a car provides flexibility and convenience, allowing for a comfortable and scenic journey to Valmorel.
